Disclaimer: This video shows how to setup a profile for the Logitech Space/Flight X52 H.O.T.A.S. Similar steps should work for other models in their X5x model lineup.

*As of December 2023, these steps were performed using a Windows 10. It should work for Windows 11 as well.

The software is not compatible with Macs and thus non basic HID functions will not work. See: https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360024847013--Downloads-X52-Space-Flight-H-O-T-A-S

Problem:

It may not be obvious how to set up a profile for the Logitech X5x H.O.T.A.S. The X52 manual (distinct from the X52 Professional manual) and Saitek manuals *reference obsolete resources including the Saitek Smart Technology Programming Software.*

Solution:

To setup a profile for your H.O.T.A.S. select one of three options:

  1. Use the Logitech X52 or (X5x) software to manually input controller options from the programming menu.
  2. Download a profile from Logitech’s Profile Pack to be opened in the Logitech X52 (X5x) software.
  3. Load or create a profile directly in your running flight simulation/game.
